Told by Jemma.
I really love this guitar that the last house owners left here. It’s so rad!
I’m gonna be a superstar! Can you see it?
Woo! I know you can see it!
Oh wait… but I’m pregnant.
I guess I should tell Phoenix.
He’ll be here soon.
“Hi babe. I’m so glad you could come over.”
“Dya wanna take a picture of us?”
Tegan: “Oh, you guys!”
“You’re so awesome!”
“Here, do you want a massage?”
“You give awesome massages.”
Phoenix flatters me all the time – it’s amazing. And cool too, that we both like to listen to music and dance. We have a lot of the same interests.
Me: “What is that? Sounds like Chopin.”
Phoenix: “Yeah, it’s the Polonaises. They are very fiery and rhythmic, aren’t they?”
Funny I never knew anyone who danced that way to classical music. Kinda quirky… but I like it!
“Do you wanna go check out the auroras? I think they are supposed to be out tonight.”
Ohhh, and they were!
So beautiful! And they were all my favorite colors – pink, purple and blue.
We sat in the back of the house and watched them for a while. It was oh so romantic.
“Psst… you know you are even more beautiful under the glow of the auroras.”
OMG! I am in heaven!
I have to tell him soon though. My belly might start to show and he might wonder why.. ’cause I certainly can’t say it’s because of my cooking. I’m lucky if I can cook a batch of waffles without burning them. He stayed over, and I told myself that I would tell him in the morning.. or whenever we got up.
“Morning hun. I grabbed some random things from your fridge and made this concoction. You should try it.”
“Actually, it’s still a little hot. Wanna jam for a bit while it cools down?”
“Phoenix? Can I tell you something…?”
“One sec, hun. Doesn’t this guitar sound great?!”
“Uhh… Phoenix, I gotta tell you something. Don’t be mad, please?”
“What? It’s not bad is it?”
“No, but… um. I’m kinda pregnant.”
“Kinda…? Either you are or you aren’t having a baby.”
“Yeah, I’m having a baby.”
“Really? Is it mine?”
“Of course it’s yours! Do you think I’ve been screwing anyone else?”
“Gosh, that’s fabulous news! We’ll have our own little family now!”
“Hear that, baby? We’ll have our own little family now.”
And for some listening enjoyment… one of my favorite Chopin pieces played by one of my favorite performers, the great Horowitz. We can pretend this is what Phoenix was dancing to. 🙂
